Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized Sr. Project Controls Scheduler to join our Operations Team. The Sr. Project Controls Scheduler reports to the Senior Director, Project Management and is responsible for managing and developing a cohesive scheduling system, with emphasis on an overall program schedule that will incorporate our La Porte Demonstration Plant activities and our first utility-scale facility, Project Permian. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis and evaluations of schedule management involving critical paths. 
  • Create and update project KPI dashboards while measuring against planned and actual performance in a dashboard for leadership reviews. 
  • Utilize KPI dashboards to forecast trending against the original planning schedule and budget for early identification and recommendation for realignment as necessary.
  • Work with all operational disciplines to plan, organize, and direct activities concerning project execution with reporting for forecasting relative to schedule alignment. 
  • Identify and oversee standardized plant risk management process as part of the licensor package. 
  • Evaluate various project and program workstreams into an integrated and logic tied schedule with reporting on critical path items to leadership. Active work streams to include, but not limited to: La Porte Demonstration plant modifications and testing activities, key equipment development and testing programs including with our OEM technology partner Baker Hughes, Integration with FEED Contractor schedules for project(s) support and resource planning by NET Power as the technology Licensor.
  • Create dynamic schedule that will tie our 300MW class utility-scale NET Power Standard Plant execution schedule to project specific customer implementations from Pre-FEED through EPC. Continue to add projects as developed, whether they are NET Power owned, Licensee or Joint Venture projects.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management from an ABET accredited University. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Primavera P6 required. 
  • 10 years of industry experience, within large industrial plant construction in the power generation or petrochemical industry. 
  • Experience with schedule development for a major equipment OEM or first of a kind (FOAK) technology is desirable.
  • Proficient at project planning and solid organizational skills in a multi-tasking environment are essential. 
  • Possess a broad understanding of technical scope as it relates to project execution and priority of tasks.  
  • Familiarity with cost controls forecasting and project progressing is a benefit for this position but not a requirement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including organization and direction of technical personnel, experience in procedure and process documentation and technical report writing. 
  • Capability to train and mentor junior staff on projects scheduling from conceptual design to construction completion and operational turnover to clients through startup and commissioning.  
  • Ability to travel for short periods to job sites throughout North America and Internationally.
