Job Overview
We are looking for a Communications and Social Media Manager to join our team and help us promote our innovative clean energy technology. You will help us translate NET Power’s technology and benefits to our stakeholders and develop and execute marketing strategies, campaigns, and events that showcase our unique value proposition and increase our brand awareness and customer base. This role reports to the Head of Energy Policy and will play a critical part in bringing our brand image to life and delivering compelling messages to our target audiences.
This position will be based in our Durham, NC or Houston, TX office. NET Power offers a hybrid work schedule, 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and implement marketing initiatives, including digital, social media, email, web, PR, and events.
- Support implementation of NET Power branding.
- Develop and implement engaging and informative content across channels.
- Coordinate with NET Power partners to create and maintain alignment on messaging, technical marketing, and project timing.
- Analyze market, media, and social trends; customer needs; and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Facilitate development of NET Power messaging and manage communications strategies for external stakeholders, including investors and community members.
- Lead development of white papers, sales materials, social media posts, and other communications that tell the NET Power story.
- Create and oversee marketing budgets and timelines.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness and ROI of marketing activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as commercial, engineering, product, origination, finance, and key partners.
- Manage the events calendar, coordinating speakers, presentation decks, and sponsorship deliverables for external corporate events and tradeshows.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in marketing, preferably in the energy or technology sector.
- Demonstrated ability to create and execute successful marketing campaigns across multiple channels and platforms.
- Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Creative, innovative, and passionate about clean energy and sustainability.
- Excellent writing and editing skills that can clarify and simplify technical issues and adapt writing in tone and technique to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in leveraging relevant software and tools for project management and communication (i.e., Salesforce Sales Cloud, Pardot, ...)
- Personable and good sense of humor.
